Alex Ovechkin goes to Redskins game wearing a Kirk Cousins jersey

Alex Ovechkin’s great sports watching weekend continues.

The night after watching Conor McGregor become the UFC’s first double champion, Ovechkin, along with wife Nastya and several friends, went to FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland, to see the Washington Redskins take on the Minnesota Vikings. The Redskins would win 26-20, buoyed by four second half field goals by place kicker Dustin Hopkins. Vikings wide receiver and former Maryland Terripan, Stefon Diggs, had 13 catches for 164 yards.

The recurring theme of Ovechkin’s afternoon was him chanting LETS GOH REDSKINS dun dun duh duh dun to his phone.

Caps Halloween Party photos: Alex Ovechkin dresses up as an inmate while Nastya Ovechkina poses as a cop

Sunday night, Capitals players held their annual Halloween Party at the Mari Vanna restaurant in Washington DC. The costumes were fantastic.

Superstar Alex Ovechkin slicked back his hair and put on a prisoner costume. His wife Nastya, who I’m guessing was his captor, dressed up as a police officer, potentially giving us an inside look into who truly wears the pants in that relationship. Meanwhile #CapsNeighbors Tom Wilson and Andre Burakovsky dressed up as stepbrothers and TJ Oshie and his wife Lauren were Mr. and Mrs Smith… with a twist.

Person of culture, Alex Ovechkin, goes to the ballet

Saturday, Alex Ovechkin was extraordinarily busy. After attending a noonish practice at Kettler Capitals Iceplex, the Russian machine filmed a commercial in Arlington for Papa John’s. Then, according to a source that looks an awful like Ovechkin, it was off to the ballet.

Evgeni Malkin hopes Alex Ovechkin sets many new records and definitely wins the Stanley Cup

Today is Alex Ovechkin’s 31st birthday. To celebrate, Team Russia players filmed a special video and extended their well wishes for The Great Eight. Two-time Stanley Cup champion and forever Penguins rival Evgeni Malkin had some especially nice things to say.

Russian reports: Alex Ovechkin and Nastya Shubskaya held private wedding ceremony over the weekend

Over the weekend, Nastya Shubskaya posted a selfie with her fiance Alex Ovechkin, both of whom were back in Russia. The caption of the photo did not include words – only a heart emoji repeated three times.

And then the Russian media did its thing.

Alex Ovechkin flew to Washington DC today

Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin and fiancée Nastya Shubskaya flew back to Washington, D.C. around 1:30PM, Monday. Reader Anna Moiseev noticed the Russian machine on her flight from Moscow to D.C. when she leaned out to take a photo of her nephew and brother-in-law.

“Ovechkin was sitting in the aisle across from us,” Anna Moiseev said. “He was asleep for most of the flight. It was quite random and funny.”

Report: Alex Ovechkin and Nastya Shubskaya set to get married in August

Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin will be a married man at the start of the 2016-2017 NHL season, if a new report from Russian Cosmo is to be believed.

Ovechkin announced his engagement to model Nastya Shubskaya back in September, and in an article posted Tuesday, cosmo.ru editor Nastya Yudaeva claimed the two will wed in August.

Here’s Alex Ovechkin Hovering High Above Water During Summer Vacation

Unsatisfied with merely skating on top of ice, NHL superstar Alex Ovechkin has turned to hovering high above a body of water. Sunday, Ovechkin and his fiancee Nastya Shubskaya posted media from their latest escapade while on summer vacation: flyboarding!

An aquatic cousin of the jetpack, the French-made flyboard propels a rider into the air by shooting out water from tubes underneath their feet. A long fire hose connects the board to a jet ski, which powers the board and sends the person, in this case a future Hall of Fame hockey player, soaring up to 20 feet into the air.
