Braden Holtby’s full speech at the HRC National Dinner

Braden Holtby, Vezina-winner and Stanley Cup champion, was invited to speak at the Human Rights Campaign National Dinner on September 13.

Braden and his wife Brandi have been LGBTQ advocates and HRC supporters for many years. In his speech, Braden shared the story of how his family came to support the cause, and what it meant for him and for his team to join the fight for equality.

Braden Holtby spoke at the Human Rights Campaign’s National Dinner, and several teammates joined him

Braden Holtby, the Capitals’ Stanley Cup winning goalie and their You Can Play Ambassador, was a surprise guest at the Human Rights Campaign’s 22nd Annual National Dinner. The event helps to raise money and awareness to advocate for LGBTQ equality.

In Holtby’s speech, he said that the Capitals are “proof that supporting LGBTQ equality is a winning decision, and we’re honored to stand with you in this fight.”
