During an interview with NBC Sports’ Pierre McGuire, Alex Ovechkin was asked if he ever thought about touching the Prince of Wales Trophy after becoming Eastern Conference Champions.

The Washington Capitals are going to the Stanley Cup Finals after downing the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game Seven 4-0. In the immortal words of Josh Peck, HUG ME BROTHA.
The Capitals were out-shot 29 to 23 and out-attempted at five-on-five 57 to 33, but honestly who cares. I never felt worried once during this game.

For the second year in a row, the Washington Capitals have lost to the eventual Eastern Conference Champions.
Thursday night at PPG Paints Arena, the defending champion Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Ottawa Senators 3-2 (OT) of Game Seven. The Pens will now move onto the Stanley Cup Final where they will face Filip Forsberg and the Nashville Predators.
Pittsburgh, like they have during this entire postseason run, owned the big moments.
