Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby hosted his day with the Stanley Cup on Tuesday, taking the trophy to fans around his home province of Saskatchewan, Canada.
The Cup arrived the evening before, at the Holtby’s family farm in Marshall, where he took several photographs with his wife, Brandi, kids, Benjamin and Belle, and parents, Greg and Tami.
On Tuesday, Holtby, who played hockey as a kid in Lashburn, shared the Cup with the residents of the town. He held an autograph signing and photograph session with the Stanley Cup at CN Sportsplex, home of his childhood team, the Lashburn Flyers.
To say there was a long line to get a glimpse of the trophy would be an understatement.
