Daniel Murphy and three-year-old son Noah attended Caps practice. Nicklas Backstrom and Alex Ovechkin gave them sticks.

Washington Nationals second baseman and three-time MLB All-Star Daniel Murphy attended Capitals training camp Monday morning with his son three-year-old son Noah.

As the two slipped into the media area and watched the practice session from behind the glass, Murphy and his son were surprised by Capitals superstars Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom who came bearing gifts.

Noah even got his book bag signed.

The Washington Nationals attended the Capitals home opener

Days after a heart-breaking loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Washington Nationals came out to Verizon Center to support the Capitals during their home opener.

Nats players spotted at the game included Daniel Murphy, Max Scherzer, Gio Gonzalez, Ryan Zimmerman, Tanner Roark, Jose Lobaton, and Michael A. Taylor.
