Misc. you missed: Ovechkin is the GOAT but Djoos is the Condor

The Washington Capitals beat the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night by a score of 6-3! This is good because the Tampa Bay Lightning are mean and boring and do not deserve goalie hug lines.

Also, Alex Ovechkin scored his goal number 50 of the season! That makes this his eighth 50 goal season! And then he scored goal number 51 because he’s extra like that and he really loves hugs.

Alex Ovechkin has more 50-goal seasons than all other active NHL players combined

Saturday night Alex Ovechkin reminded the world of his gr8ness when he scored his fiftieth goal of the season–and then his fifty-first less than two minutes later.

We are now inside Ovechkin’s eighth season with fifty or more goals. As Vin Masi pointed out on Twitter: that’s one more fifty-goal season than all other active NHL players put together.
