What a terrible night and what a wonderful morning. The Capitals got pummeled by the Los Angeles Kings and then you went to sleep. Then the Caps got good all of a sudden and stole a dang point.
The first period was a disaster. Goals by Lecavalier, Muzzin, and Lucic gave the Kings a mondo lead. The second period was silent, but then in the third, way after most of you went to bed, the Caps struck back.
First TJ Oshie. Then Nick Backstrom. Then Dmitry Orlov. With three minutes left the game was new again, pushing us into overtime.
Kings beat Caps 4-3 in overtime. Grand theft standings point.
