Evgeny Kuznetsov scored the OT winner as the Capitals beat the Florida Panthers 2-1 on Halloween. Jay Beagle made the most of his temporary stint on the top line with a goal as the Caps matched their best ever start through 10 games.

The Capitals got back to their winning ways Friday night, beating the Blue Jackets 2-1 at the Verizon Center. Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and TJ Oshie combined to score the game-winning goal on a perfectly executed three-on-one. New Caps acquisition Justin Williams also scored his second goal of the season.

The Capitals completed the sweep of their three-game road trip to Western Canada with a 7-4 win over the Oilers. Evgeny Kuznetsov finished the night with a career high of five points, including his first NHL hat trick and a shaving cream pie from his teammates to celebrate.

The Capitals improved their record to 5-1 last night, beating the Canucks in Vancouver for the first time since 2001. The newly nicknamed third line, the Chim Reapers (coined by @averagecapsfan), scored twice. Alex Ovechkin tallied the game-winning goal, his fifth of the season, off a beautiful pass by Evgeny Kuznetsov.
