As the puck dropped on the new 2025-26 season, some new Washington Capitals items have popped up on the NHL’s online store. And in this post, we’ll focus on new items dropped for Alex Ovechkin.
Ovechkin, who broke the NHL goals record this past April, signed some new items in a recent autograph signing for Fanatics, including photos, jerseys, and pucks — some of which have some special inscriptions.
An autographed overhead photo of Ovechkin’s record-breaking shot — both in 8×10 and 16×20 — was released, showing the Capitals captain making history from the top of the left circle at UBS Arena. A new version of the Ovechkin bellyflop photo also got some special inscriptions: 895g, 4.6.25, and #1 all time.
Ovechkin also signed some special Capitals jerseys, including the team’s white away jersey, which he wore when he made history. Inscriptions of 895g, 4.6.25, and #1 all time are included on those limited edition sweaters. Signed rookie year (white/black) and home jerseys are also available.
Dozens of autographed slabbed Ovechkin cards, including highly-sought out Young Guns rookies, are listed as well as a signed Capitals 50th anniversary puck.
In terms of merch, new Ovechkin Third Jersey shirseys were posted ahead of the team’s jersey launch on Friday online (Strome and Wilson are available, too), as well as other hats and shirts related to him breaking the goals record.
