Alex Ovechkin is going to great lengths to promote Ovi’s Great Crunch.

In a clip published by the Capitals on Friday, the NHL’s goals king entered crunch time (pun intended) and shot a bowl of his popular new breakfast cereal into the net.

The 15-second clip features Ovechkin tying his yellow skate laces at the bench before deciding it’s time for breakaway practice. Ovi then stick-handles a large blue bowl of cereal down the rink before ripping a shot at the net and sending brand flakes scattered all over the ice.

Now excuse me while I go pour a bottle of almond milk out for the Zamboni driver who has to clean up this mess.

“Celebrate history with Ovi’s Great Crunch cereal,” the narrator says.

“Only at Giant,” adds Ovi.

Ovechkin’s second cereal was released exclusively at all 163 Giant locations across Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Washington DC on September 19 and has proved to be a popular buy. (Even by us!)

The limited-edition boxes cost $2.99 for a family-size, 18-ounce box. A portion of sales will go to “THE GR8 CHASE For Victory Over Cancer,” benefitting pediatric cancer research.

Have you grabbed your box yet?
