The Washington Capitals announced giveaways at Capital One Arena for Games 1 and 2 of their first-round 2025 playoff series.
According to a press release from the team, fans at Game 1 will receive LED light sticks as well as a rally towel, while fans at Game 2 will receive a rally towel.
The promotional items follow giveaways in past playoff years. The light sticks, which lit up the Capitals home barn in a pulsating red light in past years, give off an ominous glow during games.
The rally towels have been a favorite giveaway of the Capitals — most recently to celebrate Alex Ovechkin breaking the NHL goals record. The team gave away “Gr8ness” rally towels where Ovi, in a full color print, does his belly-flop dive onto the ice after scoring milestone goal no. 895.
Past playoff years have featured designs inspired by the Metro, the Weagle logo, and the DMV.
