The Washington Capitals took the ice for warmups before their game against the Ottawa Senators on Monday night and were without winger Sonny Milano.

Milano took the morning skate earlier in the day but Capitals PR announced that he would miss the game due to an illness. He will be replaced on the team’s third line by rookie winger Pierrick Dubé.

Milano recently returned from a long-term injury on February 17. In his four games since being back, Milano has three points (2g, 1a).

Dubé made his NHL debut against the Florida Panthers on Saturday. The French-born winger skated just 4:33 of ice time in the overtime loss.

The Capitals will also be without defenseman Nick Jensen due to injury. Anthony Mantha will play despite being listed as a game-time decision by head coach Spencer Carbery pregame.
