One week ago, Jay Beagle played his best ever game as a pro — a two-goal outing against the Chicago Blackhawks. On our Facebook page, which you should follow if you do not already, reader Crystal N. posted a photo on our game recap post. The photo got 23 likes.
Because it was a Beagle in a Jay Beagle jersey.
I followed up with Crystal about the photo. She tells me that this pic was from Halloween last year. She is a huge Caps fan. She has a beagle named Dixie. She wanted to do it as an inside joke with fellow fans. So she bought a Capitals dog jersey, created the the number 83 herself, and stitched it on. Voila!
