Mike Green scored again. At this point, we can no longer doubt the supreme power of the Easton Stealth CNT. He has three goals in his last five games. Tonight’s goal was a total throwback to 2008.
“He just buries it,” CSN Washington’s Craig Laughlin said after Green’s tally. “This is a shot when he scored 30 goals in a season, where he’d go and score every single game. It’s top shelf, right past the goalie’s catching glove.”
He added later: “Maybe it’s the Stealth stick that he has a handful of now.”
There’s no maybe about it, Craig!
Green’s goal was huge. It brought the Capitals within one goal, after falling behind 3-0 during a disaster first period. Troy Brouwer would later tie it with just under five minutes left in the third gaining the Caps a valuable standings point.
A standings point they ultimately did not deserve.
