There’s just something about hockey players and processed food.
On a beautiful Wednesday evening during an autograph signing at Collectible Heroes in Fair Oaks Mall, Andre Burakovsky was casually signing pucks and jerseys, as one does, but was surprised with two boxes of macaroni and cheese to autograph.
That facial expression is pure excitement.
Back in 2013 during development camp, Burakovsky spoke of then-roommate Tom Wilson introducing him to the side dish (or main entree if you’re feeling adventurous). According to RMNB reader Larry Johnson, Andre’s first type of mac and cheese he ate was the standard macaroni-style and not the shells. Take that, Velveeta.
These two boxes were the Swede’s first he had ever signed. A few weeks ago, ex-roomie Michael Latta signed a ketchup bottle, a first for him as well. All that’s left is a Tom Wilson signature on something equally as tasty and our lives will be complete.
