Ladies and gentlemen, Andre Burakovsky scored a goal in an actual hockey game! This is big news because Burky has been goal-less in the last 26 games. After scoring two goals on opening night, Burakovsky was unable to dent the twine. In an effort to mentally reset his forward, Barry Trotzscratched Burakovsky for three games coming into tonight’s contest.
It worked.
With one simple flick of the wrists, Burakovsky felt joy again.

After some great forechecking by the third line, Lars Eller found Dmitry Orlov at the point with a backhanded pass. The Russian defenseman faked a shot before finding Burakovsky wide open on the opposite side of the ice. Burakovsky skated in and beat Steve Mason blocker side.
Now that’s a beautiful wrist shot.
Was The Burracuda happy? You tell me.
Check out the screenshots.
In the second period, Burakovsky would also add an assist on Lars Eller’s rebound goal to give the Caps a 2-1 lead.
This is Burakovsky’s first multi-point game (2 assists) since November 23 against the St. Louis Blues.
