We wish Nate Schmidt, who actually does love dogs, all the best things in life. He’ll either be a star in Vegas or an attractive acquisition in a post-draft trade. He will be dearly missed in Washington among fans.
Update: The Caps tried to make a deal.
According to a source, Caps were in discussion with VGK on a trade that would've saved Schmidt. Asking price too high.
