John Carlson is dressed as a Christmas tree

To celebrate the holiday season, the Washington Capitals have started a 25 days of Christmas countdown.

To kick the countdown off, the Capitals dressed John Carlson up as a Christmas tree.

Now there’s just one tiny problem. There are 25 days of Christmas and only 23 players on an NHL roster, but I guess that’s a bridge the Capitals will cross on Christmas Eve. I hope Barry Trotz and Brian MacLellan don’t mind dressing up as Santa and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
