Nicklas Backstrom is continuing to train as the NHL remains on pause due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Backstrom is working out like it’s the summer, putting in work with his personal trainer Andreas Öhgren.
Nicky also employed a personal workout partner to really amplify the intensity of his training.

As Nicky does a workout, check out Vince Backstrom. Look at that form! What amazing dedication.
“The best athletes ADAPT,” the always inspiring Öhgren wrote. “It’s been a weird 10 days here in Washington but we have done the best we can to adapt to the situation. We hope that you guys are listening to experts and real facts. We hope that this will be over soon and that we all can go back to a “normal” life again. But until then… Coaches – Adapt to the situation and come up with new strategies to develop your athletes. Be a leader and a role model during these tough times. Athletes – Do all you can to stay healthy. It’s a perfect opportunity to take care of injuries and to learn more about recovery, sleep and nutrition. Stay strong and healthy people.”
The photo comes a day after Backstrom said hello to Caps fans and showed off his sensational glove hand while playing street hockey with Vince.
