The Washington Capitals announced on their scheduled day off Monday that Tom Wilson will be featured in the team’s next bobblehead giveaway. The bobblehead is inspired by the character Wilson in the movie “Castaway.”
All fans in attendance for the Capitals-Blues game on March 24 will receive the bobblehead.

The clay Capitals enforcer rocks a large Weagle-emblazoned volleyball around his torso while rocking a bushy beard and backward hat. The design is based off Tom’s real-life Halloween costume in 2015.

The Capitals released imagery of the bobblehead while overlayed into footage from the feature film.
Wilson has celebrated his connection with the movie’s bloody volleyball beyond the Halloween costume. A replica Wilson volleyball was placed into the Stanley Cup during the summer of 2018.
