The birdman is back on social media.
Wednesday night, after the Capitals lost to the New York Rangers 4-1, Evgeny Kuznetsov posted four photos from the Capitals bus to his formerly dormant Instagram account. He’s already deleted one of the pics, a photo with backup goaltender Ilya Samsonov, but otherwise, Kuzy seems to be spreading his wings again and letting the public back into his life.
The first photo Kuzy posted was a selfie with Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov.
Next, he posted a signed jersey he received from Chicago Blackhawks superstar Patrick Kane. The inscription from Kane says To Kuzy, Keep Dangling Out There.
Finally, Kuzy posted a photo with his friend Olezhka.
Kuznetsov also made his avatar a picture of his family including new baby Fedor. The pic appears to be taken in front of the Georgetown Waterfront, but I’m not 100 percent sure.
Kuzy has also restricted his comments to prevent trolls from getting him down.
The return to Instagram follows a great stretch of hockey from Kuznetsov where he’s tallied 13 points in his last nine games. Kuzy also seems more himself: happy and carefree.
