Oh, boy. Okay. Paisano’s Pizza has released a new commercial advertising their “Big Time BOGO” pizza special on Sundays. The ad stars some familiar faces in an unfamiliar role.
May we present Andre Burakovsky and Devante Smith-Pelly … “acting?”
Andre’s a natural.
It’s. It’s so bad it’s good.
This isn’t the first, um, uneven performance by a Capitals player with a Paisano’s endorsement deal. Who can forget Tom Wilson’s sassy finger pointing or Karl Alzner’s legitimately okay dancing?
This is the first commercial to star only Capitals players rather than an assortment of male DC athletes. Devante Smith-Pelly deserves the spotlight, with his predilection for Italian food having been documented by Jakub Vrana in his infamous “How’s the pasta?” post-Stanley Cup victory video.
For some reason, that event is not mentioned in the commercial. Maybe that means there will be a sequel.
…also now I really want Italian food.
