The rosters for the 2019 NHL All-Star Game were announced Wednesday night, and to the underwhelmed nonsurprise of many Capitals fans, center Nicklas Backstrom was not among the delegates for the Metropolitan division. 🤦
There is still a way that Backstrom could end up in San Jose for the game. Fans can vote for one “Last Man In” for each division.
.@backstrom19 has been selected for the 2019 NHL All-Star Last Men In Ballot and needs your votes! #ALLCAPS

Here are the reasons you should absolutely not go to NHL.com/all-star-ballot and vote 10 times per day (from January 3 thru January 10) for Nicklas Backstrom.
I mean, it’s not like he’s even THAT GOOD at “hockey.” After all, he’s only got 843 points in 853 games, is a future Hall of Famer, and is the best player from his Draft Class.
So yeah, definitely don’t vote for Nicklas Backstrom by clicking on this big bold blue link right here.
