Washington Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov and his wife Varvara returned home to Russia on Monday and they’re already catching up with old friends.
On Friday, Orlov and former Metallurg Novokuznetsk teammate, Sergei Bobrovsky, went on a double date to the Altai Krai casino located in Siberia.

“Great evening with friends,” Orlov wrote on Instagram.
Dmitry and Varvara also shared several videos in their Instagram story.
This is not the first time the two have hung out. During the NHL season, Orlov also spent his Christmas break with the Vezina Trophy-winning goaltender in Columbus and annually helps Bobrovsky with his goaltending camp in Russia.
Orlov, who played pickup hockey with Caps fans before returning home, is a restricted free agent this summer. The Capitals are dangling a longterm contract while CSKA, who owns Orlov’s rights in Russia, are offering a big payday along with a guaranteed Olympic appearance.
After his best season as a pro, Orlov recently took time to thank both his fans in North America and Russia.
