Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin took a moment after a decisive, if non-Bailamos-worthy, 5-2 win over New Jersey Devils on Thursday night to wish his big brother Mikhail a happy birthday via an Instagram post.
Сегодня день рождения у моего брата!пождравляю люблю тебя @m.wka !!!всего самого тебе хорошего!❤️🎉🎉

“Today is my brother’s birthday!” wrote the future Hall of Famer in his post. “Happy Birthday, and I love you, Mishka!!! I wish you all the very best!”
The photo shows Ovi giving his big bro a tow around the Winter Classic rink before the Caps played the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2011. Mikhail appears to be in need of some skating assistance diligently helping his brother prepare for the match by acting as drag behind him.
Friday night, the birthday boy and Alex’s wife Nastya were already in Los Angeles ahead of All-Star Weekend. Her post reads: “With the Birthday Boy.”
Alex should be joining them soon.
