After becoming a shootout hero in the Olympics, TJ Oshie has become the National Hockey League player most synonymous with America. So it was only appropriate that on the United States’ 240th birthday, the Capitals winger wished the hockey world a “happy fourth.”
To do so, Oshie posted a personal photo of his locker stall from the Sochi Olympics.

And just because we’re celebrating freedom, here’s Oshie dominating Russia in the Olympic shootout.
Meanwhile, Oshie spent the holiday with his family at home in Minnesota and took his two-year-old daughter Lyla ice skating. Oshie’s wife Lauren took video of the two o her phone and it is adorable.
Judging by Lauren’s Instagram, TJ appears to have bought Lyla skates four days ago.
Too cute.
