Two weeks ago, we learned that twelve B-10 bulldozers made by the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant were named after some of the leading players of Traktor Chelyabinsk’s hockey team. And because we hate ourselves, we covered the story. Washington Capitals top prospect/full-time waffler Evgeny Kuznetsov was among the honored.
Over the weekend, a rehabbing Kuznetsov decided that the time was right to meet his namesake, face-to-push frame. As documented by Traktor TV, Evgeny took his 20 metric ton steel-brother-from-another-mother, Evgeny, out for a spin. He was very excite.

“I really like it,” Kuznetsov exclaimed to Traktor TV, as translated by RMNB’s Igor Kleyner. “Driving it wasn’t hard at all. It’s funny there’s no steering wheel — only a lever and a clutch instead. It’s cool to feel the awesome power of the machine.”
In that last sentence, I wonder if he’s referring to the bulldozer or the sheer tonnage of pageviews we have amassed since he was drafted.
Kuznetsov did get serious in the car ride over, talking about how he is almost ready to return to the ice in approximately a week or so. He also revealed that he’ll need to fly to Germany and get clearance from his doctors before playing again.
The Caps prospect also talked about the whole NHL/KHL thing again, but since we care deeply about your mental health and general well-being, let’s just pass over it this time. Check out the full feature below.
